To address the above two causes, the following measures have been adopted during the production of the touch screen:
- ESD Protection (8KV/15KV): Copper is laid on the non-wiring and non-component areas of the FPC, and all copper-laid areas are connected to the ground of the FPC connector. In addition, steel sheet reinforcement is used on the back of the FPC, and the reinforcement is connected to the copper-laid areas, which can effectively discharge static electricity.
- In-process Inspection of Screen Bonding Area: A secondary magnified inspection of the bonding area is performed using a 2D measuring instrument to ensure the bonding quality meets standards and prevent open circuits that cause no touch response.
